Jerry Oestmann PHD

Dr. Oestmann originally comes from Nebraska and has a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Psychological Testing and Measurements from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He brings over 30 years of experience as a clinician to the Counceling Center of New Smyrna Beach. His experience is wide ranging. He provides treatment to men, women, seniors, families, and couples. He is experienced in treating thought, mood, behavior, and personality disorders, substance abuse, behavioral, social, and interpersonal problems, couples/relationships problems including domestic violence, and helping individuals with personal and development goals. His mission is to approach each person, couple, or family with respect, to listen to their needs, and to develop an effective course of treatment. He coordinates treatment with their medical care provider, family members, school, social service agencies, or other’s they desire. 

If you plan to see Dr. Oestmann you can expect a common sense and supportive approach. He will listen to you, provide insight and possible solutions, and support you in how you decide how to approach the problems you are experiencing or how to achieve your goals for your life.
