Emma Martin RMHCI, NCC
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
NATIONAL CERTIFIED COUNSELOR
Emma’s approach aims to empower people while respecting their values, strengths, and unique life circumstances. She is dedicated to providing a judgment-free, safe space for people to process their challenges and foster personal wellness together.
Emma is motivated by compassion and love for people as she works with everyday life concerns, behavioral issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, life skills, complicated relationships, grief, trauma, spiritual matters, and Christian faith. She has concentrated experience in working with behavioral issues in people five and up, as well as women dealing with trauma, grief, and life transitions.
Understanding that traditional psychotherapy is not for everyone, Emma has completed her training for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Experiential Therapy to provide a dynamic counseling environment for healthy processing. Ultimately, Emma seeks to help people find inner healing instead of just treatment.
Emma Martin earned her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, Emma completed her National Certified Counselor certification (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors, Inc.
Before pursuing her Master’s, Emma planned weddings in the Outer Banks, NC, for nine years. This experience provided wisdom into the healing nature of relationships and the importance of appreciating life’s unexpected twists and turns while approaching a goal. This understanding and her personal counseling experience foster a passion to work alongside others in their journey of seeking meaningful healing and hope in life.
