Madeleine Milne PMHNP-S
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner - Student
Madeleine is working on becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Currently she provides Psycho Therapy, not medication management.
Madeleine Milne is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Student graduating in June of 2027 from Purdue Global University. She brings a bright and welcoming energy to The Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach, along with a deep passion for helping people live their happiest lives.
With six years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the emergency room specializing in trauma for both adults and pediatrics, and three years as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), Madeleine’s clinical foundation is rooted in deep empathy and fast, thoughtful action. Before her career in healthcare, she served as a law enforcement deputy, coming from a family full of first responders. Because of that background, she holds a special place in her heart for military members, law enforcement, and first responders, making it a personal mission to break down mental health stigmas and support those working through PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Madeleine believes that therapy shouldn’t feel cold, clinical, or intimidating. Instead, she creates a comfortable, down-to-earth space where laughter is welcome, genuine connection comes easily, and healing feels achievable. She takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach to care, meets clients wherever they are on their journey, and happily offers Christian faith-based perspectives for anyone looking to integrate their faith into their healing.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Daytona State College, Madeleine approaches every story with curiosity and heart. When she isn’t caring for patients or putting the finishing touches on her graduate degree, you can usually find her staying up way too late with a good book, gaming on her PS5, sprinkling Tajin on popsicles and fresh fruit, or writing original stories. At home, she’s lovingly ruled by her two cats: Toby, a chaotic orange tabby, and Mr. Darcy, a clingy half-Siamese who truly lives up to the beauty of his literary namesake.
Madeleine is thrilled to be serving her community, and she can’t wait to help you rediscover your joy, feel supported, and take your next steps toward a brighter, more fulfilling life!
