David is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Walden University. David’s undergrad degrees consist of a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from UCF and his AA from Daytona State College. Experiences in his past law enforcement career and volunteer time as a firefighter and Nationally Registered EMT helped develop his passion for becoming a mental health counselor.
David has been married to his high school sweetheart for 31 years and has three adult kids and two grandkids. David thrives on spending time with his growing family while enjoying outdoor activities, on his boat, and anything else that involves nature.
David believes in the power of a solid foundation within each family, so he decided to specialize in marriage, family, and couples therapy while utilizing the systems theory approach. David’s clientele ranges from children to the elderly, and he has experience in various therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, Trauma, Grief, and Christian counseling. Additionally, David is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR Therapist. As a counselor, he aims to help others experience the healing they seek while building rapport in a safe, empathetic, and trusting environment.
